Visitors will wind along Mount Hermon Road in scenic Hanover County, north of Richmond, through time - past into present day - on this relaxing driving tour. Highlights include Slash Christian Church built in 1729, Virginia's oldest continuously occupied frame church, as well as a working alpaca farm where the historic house is open for touring. The residence of a popular Farmer’s Market vendor and its meticulous vegetable garden, plus newer properties filled with modern character and charm are also featured. Special activities, including music and demonstrations, make for a full day in the countryside. Enjoy nearby Ashland, a charming downtown close to the tour route, full of quaint shops and restaurants.
