"Blooming Through the Years" is the theme of this year’s historic Petersburg house and garden tour. Featuring a
panorama of the area’s finest homes and gardens, the tour highlights historical renovations, reuses of historical properties and landscapes. A glorious assortment of homes and gardens, spanning over four centuries of architectural history, demonstrates how Petersburg continues to bloom. Eight beautiful locations are featured in honor of the Tour’s 80th Anniversary.

- Marie Bowen Gardens - azaleas, woodland trees, walking trails
- The Matthews home and garden - 131 Franklin Street

- The Taylor-Goodwin Sanctuary Gardens - 319 High Street
Refreshments: Petersburg Garden Club’s Annual Tea will be served at the Sanctuary Gardens at 319 High Street, from noon to 4 p.m. Complimentary homemade baked goodies and beverages will be available free of cost. Depending on the time, you may get to sample fresh honey. Demonstration hives will be open at the lower lot side of the garden.
Luncheon and Special Activities: The Cockade City Garden Club is offering a gourmet lunch, music with a fashion boutique, jewelry, and gifts from SHE of Chester Village Green for $12 per person at the Historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 110 N. Union St. from 11 :30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Geraniums will be on sale for $6. To order geraniums or luncheon tickets in advance, email Lindapwynne@gmail.com or call (804) 768-0758. Proceeds benefit the Historic Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg to help repair the tombstones and ironwork. Lunch tickets available in advance at SHE, Boulevard Flower Gardens, The Siege Museum, Palmore Decorating Center and the Petersburg Visitors Center Farmers Bank.
