Winchester

Steeped in the history of our state and nestled in the northern tip of the Shenandoah Valley. Winchester is Virginia’s oldest city west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. On the edge of its historic district is Fairmont Avenue, a tree-lined street brimming with homes built during the latter half of the Victorian era. This walking tour features four homes with unique architectural styles built on deep city lots with city gardens. The exteriors of these homes reflect the styles utilized during the Victorian Era, ranging from an Italianate style manor home to a classis Folk Victorian, with interiors reflective of the unique styles of their modern-day owners.
